Skiing in Japan is a juxtaposition as to what one expects from this unique country. While the cities are a buzz of neon lights and electric technology, venture into the alps and rural farmland and the story is far removed. A cultured pace of life circulating around the seasons abounds; as it has centuries. Each winter the land is blanketed in meters of snow. A winter monsoon.
